Food, redux

I am pleased to say that the food has gotten considerably better, mainly because our night cook is on vacation and the woman filling in has less of a fondness for mystery meat. The hummus is back in full force, plus some real vegetables, chicken, etc. Not bad.

That being said, I plan to go on an eating tour of the Bay Area and New York when I get back. I am craving several things:

In the Bay Area
Gordo's burrito (perhaps I can convince them to open a location in DC to make up for the abysmal lack of good burritos)
Cheeseboard pizza
Yank Sing dim sum (Mom, plan for a trip...)
My mother's crab (are you taking notes?)
In 'n Out burger
some good beer

In New York
Max Soha pasta
Corner Bistro burger
EJ's grits
Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory vanilla
Pam Real Thai
more good beer

Yep, that should pretty much take care of it. Yum.

I want to take a field trip to Mitchell's Ice Cream in SF for the salted carmel - they line up for it!

I'm so with you for every place on each coast. Also, I'd be happy to help the push for a DC Gordo's if you'd chip in for an NY Gordo's. I gotta question In 'n Out though: it's just fast food. Why not Barney's? Or Oscar's? Or getting some really really good steak and then using my brother's meat grinder to make our own burgers? Mmmmmm. Alright, when you coming home?
